Siddharth Gupta to Succeed Amit Doshi as Britannia's CMO

Siddharth Gupta is set to take over as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Britannia Industries Ltd, according to industry sources. He will be stepping into the role following the departure of Amit Doshi, who announced his resignation last month.

Gupta has been with Britannia since 2018 and currently serves as General Manager - Marketing, overseeing key product categories, including Premium Creams, Crackers, Marie, and Milk biscuits.

Before joining Britannia, he spent over a decade at Colgate-Palmolive India, where he played a pivotal role in managing the toothpaste portfolio, including brands like Visible White, Max Fresh, and Sensitive. Additionally, he was responsible for launching an OTC tooth pain relief gel, PainOut, and driving profitability and market share growth for these products.

Amit Doshi formally submitted his resignation on January 31, 2025, with his final working day set for March 17, 2025. During his tenure as Britannia’s CMO, he played a crucial role in driving brand equity, expanding market penetration, and spearheading new product initiatives.

In his previous role as Business Head for Biscuits, Crème Wafers, and Salty Snacks, Doshi focused on achieving sustainable and profitable growth, enhancing operating income, and shaping Britannia’s innovation roadmap.

Expressing gratitude for Doshi’s leadership, Rajneet Kohli, CEO and Executive Director of Britannia Industries, stated: “We are grateful for Amit’s outstanding leadership and significant contributions to Britannia. His vision and dedication have been instrumental in redefining marketing efforts for the company and institutionalising new benchmarks. Amit leaves a lasting legacy of impact and will be missed by the entire Britannia team. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
