Social cricketing anybody?
After sweeping the nation with the World Cup, cricket now has hit the social media front as well with the launch of the new social cricket platform ' soch.la
Soch.la was conceptualised by the three cricket lovers and IIT batch mates, Pradeep Chopra, Kapil Nakra and Manas Garg. Soch.la in that sense is a true "by the cricket fans, for the cricket fans' platform.
Commenting on Soch.la Co-founder of Soch.la, Pradeep Chopra adds "we've always believed in creating something which is useful for us first and then making it available to others. This time, we got a reason to fulfill our passion for Cricket through Soch.la."
Shedding some light on soch.la is Co-founder of Soch.la, Pradeep Chopra. He is also the CEO and Co-founder of Digital Vidya. Chopra says that they have been receiving a remarkable response from the first users of soch.la and they are now looking at taking it out to the wider audience. They are currently in talks with potential investors.
The most intelligible feature about Soch.la is that it allows you to sign with your Facebook id. This rules out the ache of having one more id to memorise. With feedback received Users on Soch.la are amazed to see the speed of the score update sometimes, surprised to see the score on Soch.la even ahead of television.
With the growing popularity of Soch.la, Chopra expects that soon users will make Soch.la as their default destination for cricket. He adds, "We've 3 key milestones - 10,000 users followed by 100,000 users and then 1 million users with "high degree of engagement'." And once they reach that critical mass, they will start thinking about monetising. | By Vanessa Azavedo [vanessa(at)adgully.com]
