Sonia Singh to move on from NDTV after over three decades

Sonia Singh, Editorial Director, NDTV has decided to move on from the news organisation due to future career plans. She had joined the organisation back in 1992 and over the span of over three decades became a part of the senior management.

Informing the bourses, NDTV stated, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“SEBI Listing Regulations”), we wish to inform you that Sonia Singh, Editorial Director and Senior Management Personnel has tendered her resignation from services of the company due to her future career plans.”

The statement further said that NDTV had agreed to relieve her from the services of the company from April 30, 2025.

Apart from Editorial Director, Singh is also President of NDTV’s Ethics Committee. She has been anchoring the discussion-based show, ‘The NDTV Dialogues’.

In the course of her career, Singh has been part of the news coverage of events that have changed India – including the Kargil war, hijacking of an Indian Airlines flight to Kandahar, the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and many more. She has also interviewed several world leaders, including Hillary Clinton, the Dalai Lama, Melinda Gates, Nobel Laureates Malala, Kailash Satyarthi, among others.
