Sony India launches new cyber-shot models

Japanese electronic goods maker Sony has launched its 22 new cyber-shot cameras in India.

Reports published in media say that Sony plans to to boost its leadership status in the compact camera segment and is aiming to reach 45% market share in fiscal 2010-11 compared to 42% the year ago.

According to the reports, Sony plans to sell over 8 lakh units in 2010-11 up from 5.50 lakh units in the financial year 2009-10. And also plans to invest Rs 500 million for an aggressive marketing strategy.
