Sony to introduce a new show "Maan Rahe Tera ¦ Pitaah'

SONY Entertainment Television is all set to start a new trend and bring in a novel and refreshing content with a pristine character that is all set to capture the viewer's imagination with their new show "Maan rahe tera Pitaah'. The show will introduce Indian television's first universal "beti' Anmol, who will make an appearance on the television screen in "Maan Rehe Tera ¦ Pitaah' on June 1st, 2010 at 8.00 pm exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television.

Produced by Swastik Pictures, "Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah' is an emotional story exploring the daughter father relationship. Set in the backdrop of a coal mining haven of Brahmpur, it chronicles the life of Anmol - a young 18 year old girl whose life revolves around her father Durgaprasad Kalka and her uncle Kaliprasad Kalka, the local MLA. Anmol loses her mother at a very young age in a mine accident where her father had worked. The death of his wife leaves a deep impact on Durgaprasad who sets out to get seek justice by shutting the coal mines. He runs from pillar to post to make his voice heard but all his efforts goes in vain. Unfortunately the entire town turns against Durgaprasad and ridicules him. Shortly the community labels Durgaprasad as insane and Anmol sets out to safeguard her father's prestige.
