SRK lauches music of Always Kabhi Kabhi!

Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilies Entertainment’s latest offering  ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’   presented by Eros International released its music album at Taj Lands End which is just next to his bungalow ‘Mannat’.

 

An inspired collaboration under the guidance of maestro Pritam, the music of the film under the T-Series /Eros music label is young with influences of rock , hip hop and sufy blended in as diverse a manner as each of the film’s characters represents. Directed by Roshan Abbas, the film is the launch pad for three  of the newest Gen-x faces, Zoa Morani, Ali Fazal, and Satyajeet Dubey along with Giselle Monetiro . Set against the back-drop of a high school ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ is story of four unique lives trying to compete with the pressures of the growing up and the first’s we all experience in high school.

 

Director Roshan Abas says, “ AKK is a film about the first three times….. about an age of experiments! We have carried the same to the album. I worked with three lyricist and Pritam who is a gifted music director. We decided we would try a new sound for the film, new voices as well and do all that conventional cinema does not allow you , as the people we talk about defy convention. The music of AKK has a soul that matches our spirit. Shah Rukh Khan also mentioned Pritam as one of the rare and best music director in India. Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Limited (EEML) adds , “ AKK is a young, coming of age film and promises to be high on the freshness quotient with some great music by Pritam. To complement the film we are glad to once again associate with SRK and Red Chilies entertainment and release the film on a global platform.

 

Bhushan  Kumar, Head Honcho, T-series, says, “ the music is young and vibrant and is going with the title and today’s times. Pritam has as usual rendered both foot – tapping and soul-stirring fare. I am sure his music will make a dent yet again. The song ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ are very youthful and foot- tapping with the mix of talent. Shah Rukh lends immense energy to song ‘Antenna’ with a special appearance in AKK.While the song ‘school ke din’ takes you back in  times of your school days.”

 

While five songs are fully loaded 10 track album have been composed by Pritam, the ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ title – track was worked on by Aashish Rego along with Shree D and penned by the director himself.

 

As a special treat to listeners the album also has the remix version of the song- ‘Antenna’ and unplugged version of the song ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’. The music video for the ‘Antenna remix’ has been shot with Shah Rukh Khan and the cast.
