As Bengal gears up for the Ratha Yatra festival this July, Star Jalsha continues to win the hearts of millions of its viewers, with its captivating storytelling.
According to the weekly viewership data released by BARC this week, Star Jalsha has seven out of the top 10 shows of Bengali general entertainment channels, and reaches 5.7 million viewers every week, reaffirming its popularity amongst Bengali viewers. Star Jalsha’s, newly launched shows, Shubho Bibaho featuring Sonamoni Saha and Honey Bafna and Uraan featuring Prateek Sen and Ratnapriya, have been well received, with significant growth in both reach and viewership within a few weeks of their launch. To add to the celebrations of the Ratha Yatra festival, Star Jalsha is geared up to present more engaging storylines across it’s shows to keep its viewers enthralled.
A special one-hour episode of Kotha will air on Friday, 5 July. The episode features a gripping plot where Kotha is kidnapped in Jagatbramhapur during the Ratha Yatra festival. There is immense excitement built around the popular on-screen couple Kotha and AV and viewers will witness a thrilling episode to see if AV will rescue Kotha.

On Monday, 8th July, Star Jalsha will celebrate Maha with thrilling highpoints in three of its popular shows - Suhubho Bibaho, Anurager Chowwa and Horogouri Pice Hotel. Starting at 9pm on 8th July, Subho Bibaho will present a dramatic twist as Tej learns about Sudha’s past during their gaye holud ritual. In Anurager Chowwa, Deepa disguised as a nurse, returns to the Sengupta house to care for Surja and discovers Ira’s evil plans. Will she be able to save Surja? In Horogouri Pice Hotel, Piya reveals herself as Dhee to Maheshwari, raising questions about whether Gouri’s true identity will remain hidden.
In another dramatic twist, at 8:30 pm this week, Roshnai faces a difficult situation as she is forced to leave the house in Aranyak’s absence. What will happen to her now?
