Sunny Leone Banned By YouTube & Facebook

An episode lampooning Sunny Leone on Jay Hind!, the world’s first full format online TV show, is the latest viral sensation on the internet! A day after media reports on the popularity of the episode, the video went viral with the number of views jumping through the roof. However not everyone was lucky enough to catch the episode as the immense popularity of the given episode made YouTube slap an age restriction on the same while Facebook deleted one of the cross posts from Twitter on Jay Hind!’s Facebook page. The post said, “if just the mention of Sunny Leone can push a video to such popularity we must be a porn starved nation.”

Abhigyan Jha, Creator & Director, Jay Hind! and Founder & CEO, Undercover Productions Ltd. is flabbergasted & adds, “On the one hand you have what is clearly a country of citizens which laps up porn & jokes related to sex. And on the other, you have a certain section of the society that takes the moral high ground and decides what one should watch and what one should not. Sunny Leone can appear on prime-time TV but jokes on her are restricted on Facebook and YouTube! Censorship needs to take a relook at itself.”

The number of views is increasing every minute. First we get accolades, and then someone decides it’s not exactly palatable for the general public!”
