What are the five essential tips you want to give to Mompreneurs for achieving work-life balance?

With time, I have found many ways to achieve work-life balance and they work well for me. So I would like to share this with others too.

Learn to prioritize what's most important and take on the tasks or duties that require your presence.
Be friends with technology. It can help you to be efficient at work and make up time for family,
Create to-do lists that can help you checkmark what needs to be done at home and work,
Set boundaries or dedicated time blocks for work and family activities. It will help you to increase your focus and will allow you to take ownership of your time.
Build a strong network or support group that can help you manage work effectively at the office and home.

These tips have worked for me, I hope they will help other Mompreneurs achieve work-life balance.

Could you share the top inspirational stories of Mompreneurs who have found success while maintaining a balance between motherhood and work?

I can only think of one and she is a business tycoon Radhika Gupta, the Managing Director and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund. Her story inspires me to achieve my goals regardless of the pits and falls.

Despite her medical condition and bullying, she went on to become India’s only female Asset Management CEO. And how wonderfully she is managing her kid while shouldering such great responsibility. I love her stint on Shark Tank, where she called motherhood a “beautiful chaos”, and that’s very true!

I have some up my sleeves, as I use them to increase my productivity:

First, you need to set realistic goals so you can meet the daily, weekly, and monthly goals that you have set for yourself.
Limit distractions, when you are on your workstation, immerse yourself in work and avoid checking your phone.
Take short breaks in which you can relax, it will increase your focus and also your productivity.
To improve efficiency, batch similar tasks and reserve them for the same day.
Utilise technology and automate some of the tasks that can be done efficiently with the help of AI.

What are the challenges and opportunities for Mompreneurs, according to you?

One of the biggest challenges for Mompreneurs is to take care of their kids’ holistic development while pursuing their business endeavours. The challenge of meeting their requirements – be it mentally, physically, or emotionally. I feel it is not just a challenge, but a shared responsibility that keeps me going. I make sure, when my kids need me, I am there with them listening to all their grievances and providing solutions to them.

I think after you become a mom, your children are your motivation. They also open doors for many opportunities, as you can see the world from their perspective and match up to the changes happening in society. This helps you to provide quick solutions to modern-day problems.
