The Mumbai Way!

As a part of their Anniversary celebrations,Time Out Mumbai had a special event-The Mumbai Way! on the 9th of September at Joss, Kalaghoda where it celebrated the 7 most unique attractions of Mumbai. Mumbai's culture is a blend of traditional festivities, food, music and theatres. The city offers a cosmopolitan and diverse lifestyle with a variety of food, entertainment and night life, available in a form and abundance comparable to that in other world capitals. Time Out Mumbai took this opportunity to celebrate the vibrant spirit of joy that Mumbai city exudes.

The event culminated with a special felicitation ceremony by Mr Rajnish Rawat,COO,Paprika Media. The three game-changers being felicitated comprised of Tasneem Mehta-a renowned art historian and writer& Rahul Akerkar- celebrated Chef and Owner of Indigo Restaurant.

This was followed by a panel discussion comprising of the best in their respective industry-namely Rashmi Uday Singh-author,TV Host and Food Critic, Abhishek Kapoor-Director of the cult hit "Rock On', Mickey Mehta- holistic health and fitness guru, James Ferreira-Couture Designer, Farrokh Khambata-Chef and Owner of Amadeus Restaurant and Dr Roopa Patel- Practicing Tarotologist. They enlightened the crowd on the seven unique aspects of Mumbai City and reminisced about how their respective industries have changed in the past decade.

The event took the guests through an array of shacks that had been set up to depict the 7 unique elements of Mumbai and indulge in some zingy Vodka Pani Puri, "Aamchi' Mumbai Vada Pav, mouth-watering Koliwada seafood and scrumptious Rolls from Ayubs as you wander through the make-shift lanes of Colaba Causeway, Fashion Street and Chor Bazaar. The star attraction at the event was a rollicking live performance by Mumbai based band Bombay Bassment, who enthralled the crowd with an eclectic blend of Hip Hop, Reggae and Funk Music.

The Mumbai Way! was an authentic depiction of Mumbai's vibrant life and was the perfect way for the most appreciated and urban friendly magazine ' Time Out Mumbai to celebrate their 7thAnniversary with the city of aspirations ' Mumbai!
