TV this week: After 12 weeks Colors is back at #2

Star Plus remains to be the undisputed leader with a even higher margin separating it from Colors and Zee TV as per TAM viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 21 (May 19 – May 25) for the CS 4+, HSM markets. Sony remains in the no. 4 position  , SAB in the fifth position and Life Ok which has added 8 points in week 21 on the back of their popular show Mahadev is now in the sixth position.

After a period of 12 weeks Channel Colors has returned to its no. 2 position and shares the second spot with Zee TV in Week 21 ( May 19- May 25) of TAM 2013. Meanwhile on the other hand in the concluding week of the IPL 6 Sony Max and Sony Six has observed a downward trend with a fall in ratings by 25% and 37% respectively. From last weeks 229 GRPs Max ratings dropped to 170 GRPs and Sony Six recorded 40 GRPs in Week 21 (last week 64 GRPs)

Star Plus continues to soar in their GRPs . With an increase of 4 points they have recorded 238 GRPs in week 21 (last week 234)

Colors adding 10 points to last weeks GRPs has now garnered  184 GRPs as against last week’s 174 GRPs

No change is seen in Zee TV GRPs and the channel continues to record 184 GRPs  the same as last week.

Sony Entertainment Television  saw a dip of 3 points to record 149 GRPs this week (last week 152).

On the other hand SAB TV gained 3 points thus recording 135 GRPs (last week 132).

Life OK too gained this week by 8 points . The channel recorded 130 GRPs this week (last week 122).

Though Sahara GRPs rose by two points this week the channel still continues  to be at the bottom with 15 GRPs.

The chart topper on Star Plus Diya Aur Baati Hum contnues to have a rating of of 3.7 TVR. The second most popular show on the channel garnered 2.9 TVR (3.0 TVR last week). Yeh Rishta saw dip in its ratings with 2.8 TVR (2.9 TVR last week). The channel's new talent hunt-cum-reality show India's Dancing Superstar ratings fell to 1.8 (2.8 TVR last week) on Saturday and to  2.6 TVR on Sunday (2.8 TVR last week).

Balika Vadhu on Colors rated 2.6 TVR (2.8 last week) and Madhubala ratings dipped  to 2.3 TVR (2.5 last week). The channels other daily fiction Uttaran continued with its last week's TVR of 2.6. Sasural Simar Ka  saw an increase with 2.5 TVR (2.4 TVR last week). It was the Indian Telly Awards telecast on 25th  May at 9 pm with a ratings of 1.6 TVR which brought the channel on level with Zee TV by adding seven GRPs to Colors total tally.

Zee TV's ficitonal shows have seen a downward trend with  Qubool Hai dropping  to 2.5 TVR (2.8 last week), Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke fell to 2.0 TVR (2.4 last week), Punar Vivaah recorded 1.8 (1.9 TVR). The shows that gained this week were Hitler Didi which recorded to 1.3 TVR (1.2 TVR) Pavitra Rishta , 1.9 TVR (last week 1.8 TVR) and the Mahasangam Qubool Hai episode, which garnered 2.8 GRPs on 20th  May along with Hindi feature film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ with 1.0 TVR, and its reality talent show India's Best Dramebaaz which generated 2.5 TVR (2.0 TVR) on Saturday and 2.0 TVR (1.8 TVR) on Sunday thus helping Zee to retain its no. 2 position

Sony Entertainment's long running crime series CID saw a dip to 1.8 TVR (2.4 last week); but Crime Patrol on the other hand saw a marginal 0.1 improvement as it recorded a 1.8 TVR (1.7 last week). Comedy Circus showed a drop of 0.2 thus bringing Sony's tally to 1.4 TVR (1.6 last week).

The fiction show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV continues to be the channel’s leading show with 2.8 TVR (2.9 last week).
