‘Two’ much of Rashmika Mandanna in ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’

Producer Dinesh Vijam, who is riding high on the success of ‘Stree 2’ horror-comedy sequel, is all set to add another movie to his horror-comedy universe. The fresh film will revolve around vampires and is tentatively titled ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’. It will feature Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.

The film has been in the news for a long time for its casting. In fact, it was reported that it had been delayed a bit and that Samantha Ruth Prabhu was to play the lead with Ayushmann in this film. Samantha was supposed to make her debut in a Hindi cinema with this film. However, as per the latest update, Rashmika is going to be seen in the film and she is likely to essay a double role in the film. Though not much is known about the main characters, there is a possibility that she might be seen in both positive and negative roles.

It is said that the makers have finished with the script work and are about to begin pre-production of this project. If things go as per plan, then the film is expected to go on floors by November. But this has not been officially announced so far.

After the tremendous success of ‘Stree’, Dinesh introduced new horror characters through his films like ‘Roohi’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’. While ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’ did decent business, ‘Roohi’ could not do well at the box office.

He is collaborating with Jio Studios once again for ‘Vampires of Vijay Nagar’, which will be directed by ‘Munjya’ director Aditya Sarpotdar.
