UK partners with Anthropic AI
The UK government, through the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading AI research company Anthropic to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in public services, economic innovation, and security.
The collaboration aims to leverage advanced AI tools to improve how UK citizens access government information and services online, ensuring responsiveness to public needs while upholding privacy and trust. Under the MoU, Anthropic and DSIT will work together to establish best practices for integrating AI into government operations. Through Anthropic’s collaboration with the AI Security Institute (AISI), both parties will conduct research to assess AI capabilities, mitigate security risks, and ensure AI technologies are deployed safely and effectively.
