Vi sets up first aid centre for Ambaji Mela Pilgrims
Leading telecom operator Vi has announced the establishment of a dedicated First Aid Centre to support pilgrims attending the Ambaji Bhadarvi Purnima Mela, held from 12th to 18th September 2024. The centre, located near the Ambaji Temple, is fully equipped with essential medical supplies, first aid kits, and facilities for devotees to rest. A qualified doctor will also be available to provide immediate medical assistance during the week-long religious event.
In an effort to enhance the spiritual experience for devotees across the country, Vi is offering exclusive access to ‘Live Darshan’ from Ambaji Temple through the Vi App and Vi Movies & TV App. From 6 AM to 11 PM each day, Vi customers can view live streaming of the temple rituals, with a recorded telecast available between 11 PM and 6 AM.
Speaking on the initiative, Sukanta Das, Cluster Business Head - Gujarat, Vodafone Idea Limited, said: “The Annual Ambaji Mela is one of the most auspicious and largest religious gatherings in Gujarat. Vi continues to support local administration to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims. Last year, over 1 lakh Vi users watched the Goddess Ambaji Aarti Live through our platform.”
Additionally, Vi has set up a ‘Digital Experience Zone’ at the Mela. This zone, equipped with interactive screens, allows visitors to explore the full range of Vi’s products and services through the Vi App, encouraging users to leverage the digital features. As part of its commitment to empowering users in the digital age, Vi is offering customers with 5G smartphones or new 4G smartphones 130GB of extra data over the course of a year. This bonus data will be automatically credited every 28 days for 13 consecutive recharge cycles.
This initiative by Vi underscores the company's dedication to providing both convenience and connectivity to devotees during the Ambaji Mela and beyond.
