Voice part of Google's plans

Grandcentral, acquired by Google in 2007 and relaunched as Google Voice, is still largely private but has recently issued a few invites and is planning to launch its iphone app very soon. More than 2 million businesses and 20 million users use Google apps in the US.

Google voice shall enable a single number to a business which is later auto-routed to various employees in an establishment and currently offers user a number which can be directed to any phone through which small businesses can connect to a virtual phone system. Other similar services offer such virtual phone usage too.

Google can capitalize on the two million business market it currently markets its apps to in the US.
