Weekend Exclusive | Charm of being a writer, all weekdays are like weekends: Ira Trivedi

Indian English literature is experiencing an escalating graph with many of the young writers' contribution. The writings are fairly qualitative and are widely acclaimed by critics and readers too. Interestingly they are confident for what they write about, being professionals with experience in their respective fields. Their comfort in especially expressing and communicating in English is also remarkable.

Ira Trivedi is one of such most talked about young writers. She has a history of Penguin's best-selling novels like "The Great Indian Love Story' and "What Would You Do To SaveThe World'. Ira started writing since she was 19 years old. Her experience of Femina Miss India Pageant also has played a significant role in her writings.

At the launch of her latest book, "There is No Love on Wall Street' at Crosswords book store she interacted with Adgully. In an exclusive interview she spoke about her two main inspirational events, first as her stint on Wall Street and second as Miss India Pageant. She says, "One's inspiration can be "love'. I think every time I fall in love with a man or my new needs, it's always very inspiring and I really believe in that."

When asked about her expectations from her latest launch she said, "It's going very well till now. So I am very happy about that. If company is doing well and people will keep reading it will work well." Ira doesn't limit her choice to a single favorite author. She likes fiction, non- fiction, spiritual as well and believes in appreciating every effort in any writing genre. When asked about tackling with writer's block she said," You just have to sit down and do it. That's how you solve it!" She believes the charm of being a writer is also that all weekdays are weekend.

In this exclusive interview she also shared her future plans of an upcoming book which is a non-fiction involving Yoga in about a year's time.
