When Rajkummar Rao auditioned as a dancer for ‘Boogie Woogie’

Rajkummar Rao is on a high post the huge success of ‘Stree 2’. 2024 has turned out to be a good year for Rajkummar Rao, with three films releasing back to back – ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, ‘Srikant’, ‘Stree 2’. The actor is now readying for his next release, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, a comedy drama set in the 90’s which has been directed by Raaj Shaandliyaa and also stars Triptii Dimri in the lead.

Recently the second song from this film, ‘Mere Mehboob’, was released by Triptii and music directors Sachin-Jigar, Raaj, Sachet-Parampara and Shilpa Rao. While Rajkummar was not present on this occasion, Triptii revealed that it took her some time to prepare for this song as she did some rehearsals with choreographer Ganesh Acharya. However, her co-star Rajkummar did not have to prepare for it and learnt his steps quickly. She said that he was quite prepared and was surprised to see him perform well. The composers and director, too, agreed with her and said that he actually did a good job in the song.

Some time ago Rajkummar had confessed that he loves to shake a leg and has always wanted to be a dancer since a young age. In fact, during one of his appearances on a dance reality show, he revealed he had auditioned for then popular dance reality show ‘Boogie Woogie’ and added that he was rejected in the first round itself!

‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ is set to release on October 11.
