Will KGF-fame Yash be part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana?

KGF 2 star Yash has been speculated to be part of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. It has been reported that he is likely to play Ravan in this mythology saga, which has been made on a grand scale. Ranbir Kapoor is going to be seen as Ram, while Sai Pallavi will be essaying the role of Sita in this epic drama.

The makers are planning to make this film into three parts. Ranbir is said to have already started preparing for his role and some of the on location pictures have already gone viral, but the suspense on Yash’s role is yet to get clear.

Now, as per the recent announcement, the actor’s production house Monster Mind Creations has joined hands with DNEG productions to co-produce this magnum opus, but there is no confirmation on anything about his character. There were rumours that Yash had agreed to be part of the film only on a condition that he will be also producing the film. It was also said that he might not charge his regular fees, but would back this film.

We brainstormed various projects, and during these discussions, the subject of Ramayana came up. Namit had a part of it in the works; ‘Ramayana’, as a subject, deeply resonates with me and I had an approach in my mind for it. By joining forces to co-produce Ramayana we are bringing together our collective vision and experience to create an Indian film that will ignite excitement and passion in audiences across the world.”
