Zee 3rd Boroplus gold awards in Mumbai

Zee TV comes up with yet another exciting year of 3rd Boroplus gold awards with White Leaf Entertainment. Vikas Kalantri of White leaf entertainment media pvt ltd will present the much awaited Boroplus Gold Awards, the definitive platform that recognizes and celebrates excellence in Indian Television, on a global level. After rocking Mauritius in 2007 & Dubai in 2008, The Boroplus Gold Awards is all set to take it to yet another level in Mumbai.

The Boroplus Gold Awards consists of an honorable jury of the following greats: Mr. Dheeraj Kumar (Producer), Ms. Rati Agnihotri (Actress), Mr. Mohnish Behl (Actor), Mr. Rakesh Bedi (Actor) and Mr. JD Majethia (Actor-Producer).

"Every year the producers and directors complain about not being able to bring the whole unit for the awards function, therefore we decided Mumbai as our location this year so all the stars can come and none would be missed out" explained Kalantri. He said this with the promise of making it even better and bigger than any of the past years.

"In the past I attended the awards as an audience but this year when I was invited as the judge I was over whelmed" expressed Rakesh Bedi.

The jury of any awards function has to be a very experienced and unbiased one. They carry a legacy behind them of great experiences and a sense of judgment. "When I was scanning and giving my points to the nominated one's it was so much from the heart that I automatically gave unbiased points" divulges JD. He cites this by giving an example that if he gave six points to someone but his heart forced him to give eight points then he had to give.

Jury members have been working in the industry from more than past one-two decades so it is obvious that they would know the nominated one's almost personally. Therefore in the media there were questions raised if the stars call and ask the jury to give more points to win an award. Answering this Dheeraj Kumar clarified, "Yes it's true, there might be that calls are coming but I won't confirm that. I would only say that we have been entrusted with a responsibility and we would fulfill that without any kind of favors to anyone"

The Boroplus Gold Awards will be held on 19th June, 2010 in Mumbai. The awards will be telecast on Zee TV for the 3rd year in succession.
