Balancing client servicing and business development requires a strategic approach that blends relationship management with revenue growth. Given my experience across industries like lifestyle, entertainment, ed-tech, digital marketing, BFSI, and crypto, I’ve developed the ability to navigate diverse client expectations while driving business objectives. One of the biggest challenges is time management—ensuring existing clients receive the attention they need while actively pursuing new business opportunities. I address this by prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact, maintaining clear communication, and leveraging automation tools for efficiency. Another challenge is aligning client needs with business goals; this requires a consultative approach, where I focus on long-term partnerships rather than just immediate sales.

Initially, my experience in sales and client servicing exposed me to the art of communication, negotiation, and understanding client needs—key elements that naturally aligned with business development. What truly inspired me was the dynamic nature of the role—every day presents new challenges, opportunities, and industries to explore. The ability to bridge the gap between client requirements and strategic solutions excited me, as it allowed me to create meaningful business impact.

Yes, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and role models who have significantly influenced my career in business development. Their guidance has shaped my approach to sales, client servicing, and strategic decision-making in impactful ways. During my career, I’ve had senior professionals, managers, and industry leaders who have mentored me—some formally, while others have inspired me through their leadership style and business acumen. Their insights helped me navigate challenges, refine my skills, and adopt a growth-oriented mindset.

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance in a fast-paced role like business development requires conscious effort and smart strategies. Given that my role involves sales, client servicing, and business growth across multiple industries, I prioritize efficiency, time management, and self-care to stay productive without burnout. While flexibility is key in sales, I make sure to establish specific work hours and avoid unnecessary after-hours commitments unless absolutely required. This helps me maintain a balance between professional and personal life. Exercise is a great stress reliever. Whether it’s a quick workout, yoga, or even a walk, staying active keeps me energized and mentally refreshed.

- One of my biggest achievements has been acquiring and retaining high-value clients for Teamology. Through effective negotiation and consultative selling, I have contributed to the company’s growth by forging long-term partnerships.
- I have played a key role in executing impactful PR and digital marketing campaigns that have enhanced brand visibility for our clients.

Staying ahead in business development and digital PR requires continuous learning, adaptability, and leveraging the right resources. Since the industry is fast-evolving—with changing market trends, new digital platforms, and shifting consumer behaviour—I make it a priority to stay updated and refine my strategies regularly. Attending conferences, webinars, and networking events helps me gain insights from industry leaders and stay ahead of market shifts. I actively engage with communities on LinkedIn, Clubhouse, and PR-specific groups to exchange ideas and learn best practices.
