Pix has been enjoying leadership in the Sunday afternoon time band wherein Pix show-cases two movies back-to-back 12pm and 4pm on Sunday Breakout. As there are very few breaks, the viewers get a "theatre experience" of the movie. Sunday break-outs are also popular as they are targeted at the family audiences . Moreover, Sunday being a relaxed day and a weekend makes it an ideal day to showcase family oriented movies.
Coming Sunday 29th April there will be Indian Television Premiere of "The Smurfs" which will be telecast at 12pm and then again at 9pm.They are looking at targetting the TG of 4 + to 14 in the afternoon band and catch the family audience back again at 9pm.
Pix has gone all out for the promotion of the film .Characters dressed as Smurfs have been visiting media houses to give away Smurfs merchandise and gifts and to create a buzz around the movie. Mall activation are being organized in Mumbai and Delhi with cartoon character dressed as Smurfs who will connect and engage the children and families alike.
Mainline dailies in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkatta have been used to announce the premiering of the movie. Ads are also appearing in channels targeted the kids and teens like Nickelodeon and Sonic and on-line games on Facebook page of PIX and digital platforms. Creative promos have been devised to announce the telecast of the film including back page ads in Comic books like Tinkle and Champak.
This film has five sponsors and the main sponsor being Kellog Chocos.
So, fill up your cups of ic-cream and grab your favorite flavor of popcorn on the sofa..."The Smurfs" are coming...
