All Iz Well! "Idiot' takes centre stage 10 years on

Aamir Khan ” our own desi version of The Thinker of Bollywood ” is back in news and this time with more of his all-time endearing idiocy. A call from STAR CINTAA for a performance on stage set our Star Thinker thinking ” deep and hard ” should he dig in his heels or take to the stage, a place he shunned for the past so many years? But, the philanthropist that he is, after prachoor c(h)intaa, the Star said YES to performing on stage for STAR CINTAA, a move that left many of his admirers jiving, singing "Bhaiyya, All Iz Well!!"

Aamir Khan has created many heartburns and fans alike for shunning award ceremonies of all sorts for the past decade or more. But known to be a true friend and thoroughbred humane, Khan couldn't say no to the Cine & Television workers' cause, the act in itself being one of those rare salvos only the great Phunsuk Wangru alias Rancho is capable of delivering.

The charity show was part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Cine and Television Artist's Association (CINTAA). Aamir is known to have not charged a penny for his performance, the proceeds of which, are supposed to go towards the junior artists' welfare. What more, even a serious muscle pull before the show couldn't pull this perfectionist down from the stage this time ” a place he has climbed on to some 10-odd years later.

Aamir will shake a leg with co-actors Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan and leading lady, the sensuous Kareena Kapoor to two hit numbers from the "3 Idiots'. Catch them doing the "Zoobi Doobi, this Sunday at 9 pm on Super Stars Ka Jalwa, STAR Plus's latest endeavour to create the biggest ever entertainment extravaganza in India. A total of 52 actors will be performing and all of it shared on the small screen in six episodes on six Sundays, which began on March 21, on Star Plus.
