All izz well in Chennai, Naukri says
After witnessing a 2% plunge in hiring activity Chennai is optimistic that the recruitment scene will improve further following the three month moving average index registering a 9% rise in hiring trend from Feb '10 to March '10 on a three month average index.
On the national level, as compared to Feb'10 the job index moved up by 1.5% in Mar'10 which points at a steadily improving hiring scenario.
Looking at stability in job market IT, ITeS, pharma and telecom, some key sectors in Chennai seems to be on a positive trajectory in terms of hiring activity. "The consecutively upward moving job index in the first quarter of 2010 reflects that the "cautious optimism' among employers has given way to "definite optimism'," said the National Head, Marketing and Communication, Info Edge, Sumeet Singh.
