Apple named 2025 Cannes Lions creative marketer of the year
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has bestowed its prestigious 2025 Creative Marketer of the Year award upon Apple, marking the tech giant's second time receiving the honor.The accolade, awarded annually since 1992, recognizes marketers who have consistently produced iconic, Lion-winning work over an extended period.
Apple's commitment to fostering a culture of creativity was evident in its impressive performance at last year's festival, where it garnered Lions across eight disciplines, spanning both B2B and B2C campaigns.The awards recognized a diverse range of Apple's brands, products, and services, highlighting the company's broad creative reach.
Simon Cook, CEO of LIONS, praised Apple's dedication to "meaningful marketing" and its ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level."Apple has fostered a culture that prioritises creativity and innovation," Cook stated."This honour is about recognising those marketers who are being bold, brave and pushing boundaries – and Apple continues to do this in spades."

Apple's recent award-winning campaigns, including the widely acclaimed "Shot on iPhone" series, which secured five Lions, and "Relax: Tractor," which earned both Gold and Silver Lions, further solidified its position as a creative powerhouse. Other recognized works included "The Underdogs: Swiped Mac," "TED LASSO: Fake Team Real Partners," and "Fuzzy Feelings."
Apple's consistent performance at Cannes Lions, including its top-three ranking in the Brand of the Year category for the past three years, underscores its dedication to creative excellence.The company joins a distinguished list of past recipients, including industry giants such as AB InBev, Burger King, Coca-Cola, and Google.
Tor Myhren is set to deliver a keynote address at the festival and will accept the award on behalf of Apple at the final Awards Show on Friday, June 20th.
