Birla Fertility & IVF expands to 50 clinics with BabyScience acquisition

Birla Fertility & IVF, India’s third-largest IVF network and a part of the USD 3 billion CK Birla Group, has announced the acquisition of 12 BabyScience IVF Clinics. This strategic move extends Birla Fertility & IVF's footprint into Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, bringing its total number of clinics nationwide to 50. The expansion is a key element of the company's ongoing growth strategy, backed by an investment of over Rs 500 crore.

This acquisition follows Birla Fertility & IVF's recent purchase of the ARMC IVF chain in Kerala just three months ago. Avanti Birla, Chairman and Founder of Birla Fertility & IVF, expressed her enthusiasm for the expansion: "At Birla Fertility & IVF, we are committed to blending care with the science of conception. Our goal is to increase accessibility for couples and women seeking fertility solutions. We focus on personalized treatments, incorporating advanced diagnostic testing and precision medicine to enhance outcomes. Our services also include fertility preservation, egg freezing, and embryo freezing, giving women more control over their family planning. We are excited to welcome BabyScience IVF clinics, known for their excellence in fertility care."

Abhishek Aggrawal, Chief Business Officer of Birla Fertility & IVF, highlighted the benefits of this expansion: "Our growth across India leverages our global expertise and advanced infrastructure to deliver exceptional pregnancy rates that meet international standards. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including gynaecological and male fertility treatments, laparoscopic procedures, genetic screening, diagnostics, and donor services."

Manjunath CS, Founder of BabyScience, commented on the merger: “Joining Birla Fertility & IVF is an exciting opportunity for us. Our patients will benefit from the leading-edge science and operational enhancements that come with being part of this national brand. We look forward to continuing our growth in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.”

Akshat Seth, Vice Chairman of CK Birla Healthcare, added: “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to providing reliable fertility treatments and strengthens our presence in the South. BabyScience IVF shares our dedication to quality care.”

With over 120,000 IVF cycles and more than 230,000 patients treated, Birla Fertility & IVF aims to address the needs of the 28 million couples in India facing fertility challenges, where less than 1% seek assistance.
