BrandEdge 3.0: Celebrating Bengal's best with a focus on sustainable growth
The BrandEdge event, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Kolkata Chapter, concluded with a resounding success featuring a special session 'Bengal to Nation' awards ceremony.
The day-long conference, themed 'Brand Growth Leveraging Technology' with the tagline 'Sustainable Future,' featured various panel discussions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities, drawing significant attention from industry leaders and professionals.
The conference had Akshay Gurnani, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Schbang, as the keynote speaker, and the other notable speakers were Rudra Chatterjee, Aseem Soni, Suprio Sinha, Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Dr. Partap Chauhan, Rita Bhimani, and others.
Akshay Gurnani, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Schbang, keynote speaker said in his keynote speech that technology based bargains are a new phenomenon which several online market places use during the festive season and special offers.
The 'Bengal to Nation Award' ceremony was a highlight of the event, celebrating distinguished individuals and institutions from Bengal for their remarkable achievements and contributions to society, making a significant impact on the national stage.
Among the awardees were football icon Padma Shri Bhaichung Bhutia, Srijit Mukherjee, Amit Chaudhari,Abir Chatterjee , Rituparna Sengupta, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Pandit Bickram Ghosh, Pandit Tanmoy Bose,Siddharth Pansari, Ravindra Chamaria, Amartya Ray and Akhil B Paul. In addition to these educational institutions like the IEM-UEM Group and Dr. BC Roy Society Engineering, WEBEL, along with the Saroj Gupta Cancer Center & Research Institute, were also recognised with this prestigious award.
The awards were presented by the distinguished Guests of Honour, Dr. Andrew Flemming, British Deputy High Commissioner to East and North East India, Ms. Alokananda Roy, renowned actor and social reformer, and Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, esteemed santoor maestro.
The event began with a solemn tribute, as organisers observed a moment of silence with a black screen in memory of the recent victim at R.G. Kar Hospital.
In a heartwarming addition to the program, a group of special children performed a dance titled 'The Better World,' choreographed by Manipuri Dance Exponent, Shrobana Mitra Das, Artistic Director of Riyom.
Among the highlights was a photography exhibition, an initiative of the Indic Aranya Foundation and supported by the Mayabious Group, which showcased breathtaking work dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural environment. The event recognised several photographers for their invaluable efforts in environmental conservation through their art.
Soumyajit Mahapatra, Chairman, Public Relations Society of India, Kolkata Chapter, said that the third edition of BrandEdge emphasized the importance of excellence and sustainability in driving growth and development, setting a benchmark for future initiatives in the region. He added that yesterday's program was a platform for empowerment, not celebration.
