Clemenger BBDO restructures: Lee Leggett leads, McLeod & Sor exit

Clemenger BBDO has officially launched as a unified agency, merging CHEP Network, Clemenger BBDO, and Traffik into a single entity. This consolidation creates a powerhouse agency with a 350-strong team, marking a significant shift in Omnicom’s creative landscape.

At the helm is CEO Lee Leggett, supported by a dynamic leadership team. Simon Wassef, formerly of Clemenger BBDO, assumes the role of chief strategy and experience officer, while Glen Dickson, a veteran creative leader from CHEP, takes on the position of deputy chief creative officer.

However, the transition also sees leadership changes, with the departure of chief creative officer Gavin McLeod and chief strategy officer Lillian Sor. A global search is now underway for a national chief creative officer to fill the vacancy.

The restructuring plans were first announced in February. Since then, the agency has already secured its first major client win with Kmart.

Reflecting on the transformation, Leggett highlighted the agency’s talent, stating: “Over the past few weeks, I’ve engaged with teams across all three businesses and our clients. What stands out is the remarkable depth of talent we have. Now, we have the right platform to harness that expertise.”

She further emphasized the agency’s evolving capabilities: “This isn’t just about expansion; it’s about unlocking our full potential. With brand, creative, media, data, technology, and experience all integrated, we are well-positioned to deliver truly modern creativity for ambitious brands.”
Leggett also spoke about the agency’s energized culture, saying, “There’s a real sense of momentum and belief in what we’re building. Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.”
