Dhruv Dhawan joins The Trade Desk as VP of Revenue for India
Dhruv Dhawan has been appointed Vice-President of Revenue for India at The Trade Desk. He announced his new position on LinkedIn, following his departure from JioStar (formerly Disney+ Hotstar) where he led digital growth for mid-tier and emerging clients.
During his time at JioStar, Dhawan oversaw business and operations for live sports and entertainment, focusing on balancing free users and subscribers, and understanding content P&L, along with the convergence of linear and digital streaming.
Dhawan expressed enthusiasm for his new role at The Trade Desk, highlighting the burgeoning open internet ecosystem in India and the company's established presence. He aims to build on the existing momentum, fostering stronger partnerships with advertisers and agencies to drive growth and create impactful advertising experiences.
With over 20 years of experience, Dhawan brings a diverse background in communications, digital strategy, and consulting. Prior to JioStar, he spent nine years at Google, progressing to Industry Lead - FMCG and CPG D2C.3 He also held various sales and marketing positions at Bharti Airtel and began his career in management consulting at Accenture.
