Dinesh Karthik joins Betway SA20 as league ambassador

Cricket legend Dinesh Karthik has been appointed as a league ambassador for the Betway SA20, South Africa's premier T20 cricket competition. The former Indian wicket-keeper batter and World Cup winner brings a wealth of experience and star power to the league.
Karthik’s extensive cricketing experience as a World Cup Winner and former Indian national player brings an exciting new dimension to the League, which is rapidly establishing itself as one of the world’s top-tier franchise leagues.

“I’m thrilled to join the Betway SA20 as an ambassador,” said Karthik. “The League has been electric in the first two seasons, showcasing some of the world’s best players and exciting young talent on the global stage. It’s a privilege to be associated with the Betway SA20, and I look forward to working with Graeme and his team.”

The 39-year-old former India international has been an integral part of franchise T20 cricket, participating in the Indian Premier League since its inception in 2008. Karthik has represented six teams during his 16-year IPL career, amassing 4842 runs at an average of 26.32 and a strike rate of 135.66. Additionally, he has taken 145 catches and completed 37 stumpings behind the wicket.

Karthik will work closely with fellow Betway SA20 ambassador AB de Villiers and the management team to help strengthen the League’s global fan base and enhance brand awareness across key strategic markets in India and the United Kingdom.
