Effie 2009 awards: a remarkable eve for Economic Times

Effie 2009 awards, turned out to be beneficial for the "Economic Times' (ET). Economic Times "Power of Ideas' won the Effie award in the category ' Corporate Advertising.

The "Effie Awards 2009' was organised by the Advertising Club Bombay at the Royal Western India Turf Club in Mumbai.

All the initiatives taken by the ET in six months got worth when they were commenced with the award.

They had quite a challenging task i.e. - to create entrepreneurial opportunity in the wake of a slowdown by providing a platform for as many business ideas as possible to come face-to-face with investors.

They put all their efforts to inspire and encourage the spirit of enterprise and infuse the thought, "if the idea is right, you will succeed'.

Early this year only ET launched "The Power of Ideas' to tap into the entrepreneurial aspirations of India's corporate executives.

And, they got a wonderful response, they received - 12,000 business summaries, 1,000 successfully-mentored participants, individual feedback shared with over 5,000, and nearly 250 investor-investee meetings.

The victory at the Effie 2009 is not just a win for The ET but a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit of India Inc.
