Eros to invest Rs 2.8 bn in movies
Eros International after filing an initial public offering in India, has reportedly traced out a budget of rs 2.8 billion to fund 11 movies.
The 11 titles comprise - Hindi and Marathi while three are in Tamil. According to the reports, Eros already has deployed Rs 254.10 million in respect of the Hindi film projects.
Eros has bought a untitled movie starring Shah Rukh Khan from Red Chillies Entertainment. The hindi projects that the company has laid hands on are - Anjana Anjaanee, Desi Boys and a untitled project with Saif Ali Khan.
Eros has signed co-roduction deals with Marathi movies like Punha Dhakka, Haapus, Shodh and Phakt Ladh Mhana.
The company has also purchased rights for Tamil movies like Murattu Kalai (remake), Arjunan Kaadhal, and Krishna Leelai.
