ESPN secures FA Cup rights through 2028

ESPN has extended its broadcast rights for England's prestigious FA Cup for another four years, keeping the action on American screens until 2028. This deal builds on ESPN's coverage that began in 2018.

Fans can expect extensive coverage, with 79 matches per season streamed live exclusively on ESPN+. The agreement also includes the season-opening FA Community Shield, giving viewers a complete FA Cup experience.

With a remarkable 143-year history, the FA Cup is the oldest national knockout soccer competition in the world. Nearly 700 teams compete, from the top-flight Premier League giants to passionate non-professional squads, making it a true underdog story factory.

This year's final promises to be another exciting chapter, featuring Premier League champions Manchester City facing off against rivals Manchester United for the second year in a row. City will be looking to repeat their 2-1 victory from last year, which came after securing their third consecutive Premier League title and a historic first Champions League win. Their dominance continued last week as they became the first team to win the Premier League four seasons running.

This extension further strengthens ESPN's position as a home for top-tier international soccer. They already offer coverage of Germany's and Spain's domestic knockout tournaments on ESPN+, ensuring fans have a constant stream of exciting football throughout the season.
