FilmRise expands global streaming deal with Samsung TV Plus
FilmRise has strengthened its collaboration with Samsung TV Plus through a new licensing agreement, broadening its reach across multiple global markets. The deal enhances the availability of FilmRise’s free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels and video-on-demand (AVOD) content in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
This expanded agreement will see the addition of several FilmRise FAST channels to Samsung TV Plus, including fan-favorites such as Unsolved Mysteries, Forensic Files, and FilmRise Westerns. Alongside these, a wide range of TV series such as Heartland, Highway to Heaven, Cheaters, Hot Ones, and Making a Serial Killer will also be made available. Film enthusiasts can look forward to a selection of films including The Paperboy, Willy’s Wonderland, MVP, Driveways, Dahmer, and Prom Night.
Melissa Wohl, Executive Vice President of Global Distribution Partnerships and Sales at FilmRise, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “Our ongoing partnership with Samsung, one of the largest CTV companies globally, is a significant achievement for us. We are excited to expand our partnership and provide greater access to our free TV content for audiences across North America and beyond.”
The deal marks another step in FilmRise’s strategy to expand its presence in the growing FAST and AVOD market, offering viewers high-quality, free content across multiple platforms. Samsung TV Plus, which has been a dominant force in the connected TV (CTV) space, will continue to serve as a key distribution partner in FilmRise’s global expansion.
