Godrej Industries Q3 net profit soars 77% to ₹188 Cr, total income jumps 34%

Godrej Industries Limited (GIL) has reported a robust financial performance for the third quarter (Q3) and nine months (9M) of FY 2024-25, driven by strong revenue growth across key segments, including chemicals, real estate, and agri-business.

The company’s Q3FY25 total income stood at ₹5,147 crore, marking a 34% year-on-year (YoY) increase, while net profit surged 77% YoY to ₹188 crore. For the 9MFY25 period, total income reached ₹15,525 crore, up 19% YoY, with net profit more than doubling to ₹798 crore, a 115% growth.

Segment-wise Performance

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (GCPL)

  • Consolidated sales grew 6% YoY in Q3FY25.
  • Net profit, excluding exceptional items, declined 14% YoY due to temporary market headwinds.
  • Home Care grew 4%, driven by strong demand in air fresheners and fabric care.
  • Personal Care grew 2%, with hair color and sexual wellness categories registering double-digit growth.

Chemicals Business

  • Q3FY25 revenue increased 44% YoY, with PBIT surging 266% YoY.
  • 9MFY25 revenue grew 21%, while PBIT saw a 36% rise.
  • Exports accounted for ~30% of total revenue, with export growth of 58% in Q3FY25 and 23% in 9MFY25.

Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL)

  • Q3FY25 total income reached ₹1,222 crore, up from ₹524 crore YoY.
  • Net profit rose to ₹163 crore from ₹62 crore YoY.
  • Booking value for the quarter stood at ₹5,446 crore, maintaining its streak of delivering over ₹5,000 crore in sales for six consecutive quarters.
  • Added four new projects with an estimated booking value of ₹10,800 crore.
  • Delivered ~2.6 million sq. ft. of projects across two cities in Q3, bringing the YTD total to ~11.9 million sq. ft.
  • Raised ₹6,000 crore through India’s largest-ever QIP by a real estate company.

Godrej Agrovet Ltd. (GAVL)

  • Q3FY25 total income stood at ₹2,458 crore, up from ₹2,354 crore YoY.
  • Net profit increased 21% to ₹111 crore YoY.
  • Animal feed segment margins improved from 4.0% in Q3FY24 to 6.0% in Q3FY25, with EBIT per metric ton increasing by 45%.
  • Vegetable oil segment posted a 72% YoY profit growth, supported by higher crude palm oil realizations.
