Grass Valley Names Alex Keighley SVP Sales North America

Grass Valley, a leader in production solutions, has appointed Alex Keighley as the new Senior Vice President of Sales for North America. In this pivotal role, Keighley will focus on driving growth and enhancing customer relationships throughout the region.

Keighley remarked, “While media companies are navigating a challenging period with rapidly evolving technology and business models, it’s also a time of tremendous opportunity. As he takes on this new role, Keighley aims to build a leading market organization. He emphasized, “One of the most important responsibilities of a sales leader—or any leader—is to enable their team and everyone around them to deliver their best results. My priority will be to ensure we have the best people in the right roles, equipped with the tools and resources they need to deliver for our customers and achieving the company’s goals.”

Keighley brings a wealth of experience, having previously led sales teams for prominent media organizations like Reuters during the dot-com boom and the Associated Press’ EMEA commercial unit during the initial phase of multimedia transformation. His passion for the technology behind news gathering led him to Bitcentral, where he supported various local station groups across the U.S. In recent years, Keighley has held leadership roles at Avid and Telestream, most recently serving as Chief Revenue Officer at Backlight. He also has experience with Grass Valley, having led the U.S. West Sales team for five years before returning to head the North American sales team.
