How FFACE has been helping East India’s talent realise their starry dreams

Established in the year 2014, Fame Fashion and Creative Excellence (FFACE) is the flagship brand of Royz Media and Entertainment. Since its inception, FFACE has become a prominent talent management brand in eastern India and has been providing a platform to aspiring young actors, models, fashion photographers, designers, make-up artists and creatives, who are chosen by a panel of judges from the fashion and film fraternity.

Ever since its launch, FFACE has been coming out with its FFACE Calendar. Now the talent management brand is gearing up for FFACE Calendar Edition X. The final audition for FFACE Calendar Edition X was held on November 8, 2023 in Kolkata, where more than 500 candidates were shortlisted. Of these 500, the top 50 competitors will be selected for the grooming round, and only 12 out of the final shortlisted candidates will compete in the Dabur Gulabari FFACE Calendar Edition X. The judges’ panel included Paromita Ghosh, Director, Candid Communication; fashion designer Indroneel Mukherjee; Alexandra Taylor, actor and former Miss Ireland; Falaque Rashid Roy, actress.

For a decade, the Dabur Gulabari FFACE Calendar Edition has been symbolising excellence and elegance in the fashion industry, with each year unveiling fresh styles and faces, inspiring the fashion world, and setting new trends. This year is even more grand, focusing greatly on individuality and creativity, offering a chance to newcomers to portray their talent in front of the world.

The event was inaugurated by Neil Roy, Founder-Director of FFACE and the guests of honour included Sean Banerjee, Swastika Dutta, and Subhajit Dutta, Regional Trade Marketing Head, Dabur - Home & Personal Care.

On the sidelines of the event, Adgully spoke to some of the partners and judges of Dabur Gulabari FFACE Calendar Edition X.

Speaking about the initiative, actress Falaque Rashid Roy said, “Dabur Gulabari FFACE Calendar Edition X is the story of brands who are our partners, sponsors, candidates, and those who have got mileage from FFACE and are doing great work. We are very proud that FFACE has got so much love. In the previous year, registrations numbered more than 1,000, where instead of shortlisting 30 candidates, 60 were chosen, because the pool of talent was so overwhelming. We have brought in lots of faces and talents throughout the years.”

Roy further said, “To see a brand that was created 10 years ago in such a big way is a matter of pride. When FFACE started, there was no other platform like this, and we aimed to help the talents existing in our society and to make them reach a place in life. Amidst the various rumours about the industry that it is not safe, FFACE has taken the responsibility to give girls the opportunity to fulfill their dream and achieve success out of the platform. Our homegrown stars, who were once contestants, are now on the cover of FFACE. Nothing bigger than this can happen for FFACE, along with the association with such a big national brand like Dabur. It is going to be more glamorous this year. Very soon we will bring new faces for the industry. It is time to celebrate yourself and your talent, and confidence, and do hard work as without hard work, nothing is gained.”

On how he feels about this year’s FFACE edition, Indroneel Mukherjee shared, “I feel very happy and good because this was an inception run by me and Neil Roy. Just 10 years back we were sitting in a coffee shop and we decided that we needed to create a platform where we could give opportunities to newcomers. Now, people have done a lot of good things, Sean and Swastika will be the cover in the X edition. We launched them and trained them, and today they are very big stars. So, I hope with this edition, too, we will find some new stars.”

Speaking about 91.9 Friends FM’s partnership with FFACE Calendar Edition X, Jimmy Tangree, Head of Friends FM, said, “As a radio station, Friends FM is very proud to be a partner of FFACE over the last 10 years. FFACE has been providing an opportunity to people even from small towns and districts to live their dream for the last 10 years. We have seen people who have won FFACE going on to become Tollywood stars; so, I think it’s a beautiful platform and one of its kind in the country. It’s not just talk, but action, helping youngsters become stars in their own right. And even if you are not a winner, there is so much to learn; you get an entire makeover. So, a big thumbs up to FFACE!”
