India makes its mark with wins at MMA SMARTIES X Global & APAC

 India cemented its leadership in marketing innovation and creativity at the SMARTIES™ 2024 Awards, securing multiple prestigious wins across Global and APAC categories. SMARTIES APAC awards were announced in Singapore during the grand gala, while SMARTIES X Global awards were announced officially in New York. Both celebrated campaigns that redefine industry standards, drive impactful results, and inspire marketing excellence worldwide.

SMARTIES across regions and globally celebrated wins across seven dynamic channels: Purpose-Driven Marketing, Marketing Impact, Impact Media, Emerging Tech Marketing, E-commerce Marketing, Creative, and AI Marketing. These categories recognized campaigns that delivered exceptional innovation, strategic creativity, and measurable business results. 

India Wins Big, Sweeps Industry Awards @ SMARTIES APAC

The MMA SMARTIES APAC 2024 Awards honored an impressive 93 winning campaigns, presenting 37 Gold, 24 Silver, and 32 Bronze medals, along with 11 industry winners that showcased the best of what APAC has to offer, bringing together the region’s most visionary marketers for a night of creative brilliance and strategic triumph. 

At the SMARTIES™ APAC 2024, Indian brands and agencies emerged as leaders, winning top honors:

  • Leo Burnett India was named Creative Agency of the Year, a recognition of their strategic storytelling and innovation.
  • Wavemaker India triumphed as Media Agency of the Year, showcasing excellence in strategic media execution.
  • Best in Show was awarded to the Indian campaign “SIWO: Turning Speechless India into Playful India,” underlining India’s ability to connect with audiences through creative brilliance.

Other wins include: Coca-Cola earned Most Resilient Brand of the Year. Mondelēz International took the spotlight as Advertiser of the Year. Oreo triumphed as Brand of the Year. MSL Vietnam was named Specialist Agency of the Year, while Publicis Chemistry earned the prestigious title of Digital Agency of the Year. Grab secured Publisher of the Year, and WPP emerged as Holding Agency Company of the Year. 

India’s Wins: SMARTIES™ X Global

The SMARTIES™ Global 2024 Awards celebrated 26 Gold, 31 Silver, and 33 Bronze winners, alongside 12 Industry Awards, recognizing campaigns that pushed the boundaries of marketing.

On the Global stage, India continued to shine:

  • Mindshare India earned the title of Media Agency of the Year, reinforcing their leadership in media innovation.
  • Amazon Ads, which operates in both the USA and India, secured the honor of Publisher of the Year, a reflection of its transformative influence in marketing platforms.

These wins position India at the forefront of marketing excellence, delivering campaigns that combine innovation, technology, and creativity to make a global impact.

  • 12 Gold, 7 Silver, and 9 Bronze awards were presented, alongside 10 Industry Awards.
  • Dove was named Brand of the Year, continuing its streak of resilience and market influence.
  • The Best in Show was clinched by Barbie Breaks Out The Box (Office), a campaign that redefined creative benchmarks.
