Jaipur Marriott donated clothes at Prem Niketan Ashram
To protect the underprivileged people, poor and destitute from spending sleepless nights on pavements and roadsides at the time of spine chilling winters, Jaipur Marriott launched a 10-day long campaign to offer help to the poor braving the winter chill on streets.
Never short of like-minded associates for their contribution, the first day collections itself indicated that poor can pin hope on our “Spirit to Serve” gestures which would no longer let them shiver in the biting cold. Our associates submitted 92 woolen clothes, pullovers, blankets and thermal attire for distribution among the homeless and poor people to beat winter chill.
Once the clothes were collected, they were graded. All those clothes which were not redeemable, and that's only about 1 per cent of all the deposited clothes, were discarded. The rest were classified in different categories, like children's clothing, woolens etc. and were segregated based on various sizes. We also make sure that each cloth was neatly packed and sealed in polybags.
We send these clothes to organizations after assessing the need, number and the kind of clothes they were in need of.
We ensure that the recipient gets what he or she wants. Bringing a smile on those faces is of immense importance to us.
