JioCinema slams fake vulgar video clip of two Bigg Boss OTT contestants

Season 3 of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, currently streaming on JioCinema, is facing controversy after circulation of a video purportedly showing two of the contestants, Armaan Malik and his wife Kritika Malik, in an intimate position. As per media reports, Shiv Sena Secretary and spokesperson Dr Manisha Kayande has called for the show to be banned for “public display of vulgarity”.

Responding to the controversy, JioCinema has asserted that video clip in circulation on digital media is fake and added that it is working towards identifying the origins of this clip.

In a statement issued, a JioCinema spokesperson said, “JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ which was streamed on JioCinema did not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake.”

The spokesperson further said, “Our teams are working towards identifying the origins of this clip and will initiate action against those responsible for creating and distributing such defamatory content against ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and JioCinema. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern.”
