Kareena Kapoor Khan refuses to play Yash’s sister?

Kareena Kapoor Khan is known to take selective roles and has said to have stepped out of the project recently. The actress was to share screen space with south superstar Yash in his upcoming film, ‘Toxic - A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups’.

The film was announced last year and Yash is collaborating with Geetu Mohandas for this film. Yash will also be co-producing this project, which is set to go on floors soon. Yash’s look from the film has also been revealed with the announcement and it is said that the action drama will be set against drug gangs and mafias.

It is said that Kareena was offered to play Yash’s sister in the film as the story revolves around a strong brother and sister bond. As per reports, the actress liked the plot of this film, but had to say no to it due to her busy schedule. Now, the makers are looking to cast another actress in the film and according to rumours, Nayanthara is their first choice. However, it is yet to get confirmed if she will do it. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is likely to play the lead in this film. Apart from this, the makers might have one more known actress to essay the pivotal role. The name of the third actress is yet to be revealed.

‘Toxic’ is set to start filming in Karnataka and the team has apparently erected a huge set for it. It is expected to release in April next year.

Incidentally, Kareena was also supposed to play the sister of her real life cousin brother Ranbir Kapoor a few years ago in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadkane Do’. But both the actors could not do the project and Ranveer Singh-Priyanka Chopra ended up playing the siblings in the film.

Kareena was last seen in Ektaa Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor’s film ‘Crew’ with Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film managed to do well at the box office and the makers are planning to make a sequel of it.
