"Kasa Kai, Savita Tai" asks Katrina Kaif to Usha Nadkarni and greets her in Marathi

The 18th Zee Rishtey Awards not only gave immense happiness to all actors who had won the coveted awards but also gave some classic moments that all will cherish forever! Katrina Kaif was present with Akshay Kumar & Farah Khan to promote their upcoming movie “Tees Maar Khan”. We all know Katrina struggles with her Hindi and prefers to speak in English only at public events so as to avoid any misunderstandings or controversies which might be caused due to some wrong pronunciation of Hindi words. At the glitzy Zee Rishety Awards 2010, she puts all her language critics to shame when she addresses the crowd in Marathi and said, “Kasa Kai Savita Tai”. The crowd cheered with hoots and whistles while the camera showed a proud and stunned Usha Nadkarni who enacts the popular character of Savita Tai in Pavitra Rishta.

The moment Katrina greeted her in Marathi, Ushaji’s eyes popped, she shifted on her chair to sit upright and looked sideways to see the look of acknowledgement on people’s faces…not to mention that the smile on her face could have easily picked up by a toothpaste company for their next commercial. Host Manish Paul did not miss out on the opportunity to come up with a quick retort and said, “Arre waah, Katrina, aap Hindi se pehle Marathi seekh gayi?”
