Kratika Sengar refuses to let a serious horse-riding accident deter her from dancing at Zee Rishtey Awards 2010

Looks like the 'Jhansi Ki Rani’s' grit and determination are rubbing off on actress Kratika Sengar who plays the lead role. Having enacted the role of Jhansi for over 4 months now, Kratika has become a really tough cookie! Her daredevil act at the recent Zee Rishtey Awards 2010 had the young actress performing stunts- some on horseback and some wielding a sword. Having rehearsed day and night for the act, Kratika was all geared up to set the stage ablaze with her charisma, grace and strength. As luck would have it though, a mere 3 days prior to the D-day, Kratika fell off the horse while practicing her moves. Having sprained her back badly and bruised her elbow substantially, the doctors recommended complete bedrest for the actress atleast 1 week.

However, the Rani wasn't about to let an untimely accident come in the way of her first performance at a prestigious platform that would be watched by the entire television fraternity. Kratika said, "I was in pain and only I know how difficult it was to mount a horse and maneuver a sword with a sprained back. I went against the doctor's advice and did what I had to ... because I've always enjoyed performing in front of a live audience and I couldn't have passed up an opportunity as big as Zee Rishtey Awards".

Catch Krutika aka Jhansi Ki Rani perform a magnificent act in Zee TV’s grand celebration of 18 years of its special relationship with its audience.  Come Sunday, 19 December 2010, Zee Rishtey Awards Red Carpet will air at 6 30 pm & Zee Rishtey Awards 2010 will follow from 7:00 PM onwards.
