LG plans to introduce more LED TVs

LG Electronics has huge plans in this coming year 2010 they are planning to introduce more lighting emitting diodes (LED) TVs. Their aim is to sell 3 lakh units by 2010.

LG Electronics - produces wide range of LCD TVs, Color Televisions, Plasma, Window / Split / Commercial ACs, Mobile Phones, Laptops.

To this plan, LG Electronics India, Head of Sales, Amitabh Tiwari said, "LED TV is one of the focused areas of the company. We will launch more advanced ones in the first half of 2010. With the new range, we expect that we will be able to sell around 2.3 lakh to 3 lakh units of it by the end of next year."

He further said, "The Company expects the segment to contribute about 20 per cent of its turnover by the end of next year. At present, LED TVs accounts for less than 4 per cent of its overall sales.

However, LG expects to achieve a turnover of Rs 13,000 crore this fiscal-end, a 30 per cent growth as against the last financial year. LG had introduced LED TVs in India in September this year and has already sold over 15,000 units of it.
