Mahima Kaul appointed Director of Public Policy at Netflix India

Mahima Kaul has joined Netflix India as the new Director of Public Policy. She announced her new role on LinkedIn, expressing her excitement about leading public policy for Netflix in India. She mentioned her eagerness to tackle the challenges and opportunities in the OTT and streaming sector and to engage in broader policy work. Kaul also expressed her willingness to reconnect with colleagues in this field.

Before this, Mahima Kaul served as the Director of Public Policy for the APAC region at Bumble, where she established the company's public policy initiatives and priorities. She led efforts in Australia on dating app safety regulations, developed policy positions on issues like AI-related harm and 'safety by design,' and ensured compliance across different regions. Kaul has also worked with Twitter and the Observer Research Foundation, among other organizations.
