Maxus names Federico de Nardis as CEO, Europe, Middle East & Africa

Federico de Nardis, currently CEO of Maxus Italy, has been promoted to CEO of Maxus Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), it was announced today.

De Nardis, who splits his time between the agency’s Milan and Turin offices, will retain his current responsibilities in Italy, said Maxus Global CEO Kelly Clark.

I'm delighted Federico has accepted this important new position,” Clark said, adding that the role is necessary due to the rapid expansion the Maxus network has experienced over the last three years. “We’ve built a dynamic and fast-growing agency in Italy under his leadership, and he is liked and respected by our country leaders across Europe.”

De Nardis also leads the agency’s global Fiat relationship.

In July, Maxus was named the fastest-growing global media services agency in the world for the third consecutive year by RECMA, the independent organization that measures media agency sector operations. Last year the agency delivered a 44 percent global billings increase compared to 2010, RECMA reported.

The new role takes effect immediately. All continental European Maxus country CEOs will report to de Nardis. (Maxus UK will continue reporting to Maxus Chief Strategy Officer Lindsay Pattison.)

GroupM President Dominic Proctor announced last month that Vikram Sakhuja, currently GroupM India and South Asia CEO, will succeed Clark as global Maxus CEO. Clark will become CEO of GroupM North America. De Nardis will report to Clark until Sakhuja takes up his new duties later this year.

“Our teams in Milan and Turin have done a fantastic job for our clients and as a result, Maxus has exciting momentum in the Italian market,” de Nardis said. “I'm really looking forward to working with the other EMEA teams to keep that momentum going.”
