Modern Indian men embrace equality in METRO campaign

METRO Shoes has unveiled the newest chapter in its celebrated campaign, "Takes You to the New," celebrating the progressive spirit of the modern Indian man as an equal and empathetic partner in relationships.

Conceptualized by creative agency Talented, the campaign film spotlights values of equality, individual growth, open communication, and shared decision-making in modern partnerships, redefining masculinity in India.

The film features a young couple, Sebestian and Anuja, who represent a new kind of love—secure, mature, and rooted in mutual respect. With a spirited soundtrack and captivating visuals, the narrative moves seamlessly through moments that show the man as a supportive partner, expressing empathy and vulnerability in ways that transcend conventional stereotypes. Through these moments, METRO’s diverse range of footwear also subtly shines, blending festive style with modern sophistication.

Alisha Malik, President of METRO Brands Ltd., remarks: “This film reaffirms METRO’s role in the lives of our customers, guiding them toward uncharted, essential territories. The METRO man is secure, progressive, and leads by example, unhindered by social conditioning. Through Takes You to the New, we aim to portray the experiences of modern Indians, connecting with our audience on a deeply personal level.”

Pooja Manek, Founding Member and Creative at Talented, shares: “Sebestian and Anuja embody mature love—secure in their identity and partnership. They represent a vision of marriage where love is calm, boundaries are clear, and choices, including reproductive decisions, are mutual.”

Directed by Ria Singh, the film is an intimate portrayal of love and the role of men in building healthy, equal relationships. Singh collaborated with Intimacy Director Neha Vyas to ensure the cast could authentically convey their chemistry, showcasing a tender, respectful partnership.
