Neo earned Rs 175 cr from Lanka series
Recently, Neo - a sport channel, earned Rupee 175 crore as the advertising revenue for broadcasting the entire cricket series - Sri Lanka series.
As per the sources, post second match Neo had increase the advertising spots rates for the India-Sri Lanka ODIs by 10-15 per cent.
Neo charged Rs 3.5 ' Rs 4 lakh, for a 10 second advertising spot in the India-Australia ODIs. However, during the India-Sri lanka ODIs, the range was between Rs 2.5 ' Rs 3 lakh.
To this, the COO, Neo Sports Broadcast, Parsanna Krishnan said, "As the economy is recovering, the advertisers are getting back t the cricket. We have set an ambitious target this financial year and have closed the India-Lanka tour at over the halfway mark."
