Netflix’s upcoming show ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ irks netizens

One of the most successful original Hindi shows on Netflix, ‘Kota Factory’, deals with JEE/IIT aspirants. Now, the OTT platform is back with another show, which focuses on life of a Chartered Accountant in ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’. However, unlike ‘Kota Factory’, ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ is a lighthearted story about a successful professional, who has to embrace a different path to earn money to fulfil his family’s needs. Manav Kaul essays the title role.

Recently, the makers of the show released the official trailer, which has been getting mixed reactions from the audience. While many have liked this lighthearted emotional drama, some have objected to it by stating that it shows the CA profession in a bad light. Few people have even expressed that the show should be banned.

‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ is created by Puneet Krishna, who was associated with ‘Mirzapur’s previous  two seasons. He has co-written the show along with other writers. Amrit Raj Gupta, who has directed shows like ‘Gullak’ and ‘TVF Bachelors’, has directed it. It is set to release on Netflix on July 18 and features Tillotama Shome, Shweta Basu Prasad, Shubrajyoti Barat, Faisal Malik, Shrikant Verma and others.

Prior to this, last month Netflix’s film ‘Maharaj’, starring Jaideep Ahlawat and debutant Junaid Khan, too, ran into controversy, but eventually got clearance for release from the court and has been receiving good reviews.
