Now NFDC to release govt ads

The National Film Development Corporation of India, which used to traditionally fund meaningful movies has now got additional role. The government has allowed NFDC to realease advertisements and publicity as the DAVP does.

Reports say that NFDC will produce social advertisements in the audio visual format. NFDC also works on Ayush, National Aids Control Organisation and National Disaster Management in India.

According to the reports, NFDC has accumulated losses of Rs 276.2 million, whereas the corporation gets only Rs 65 million from the government. The corporation is also offering 70 of its employees a Voluntary Retirement Scheme.
