Ogilvy’s advertising stalwart Vinayan O passes away

The advertising industry mourns the loss of Vinayan O, Vice President - Production at Ogilvy, who passed away. A pillar of the Ogilvy family, Vinayan dedicated over 39 years to the agency, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Vinayan began his journey with Ogilvy in May 1986, rising through the ranks from Director of Production Services to eventually becoming VP - Production, a role he held with distinction for decades. Based in Bangalore, he was known for his unwavering dedication to excellence in advertising production and for mentoring generations of creative and production talent within the agency.

An alumnus of St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, Vinayan combined his academic foundation with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of the advertising craft. His contribution went far beyond projects and campaigns—he embodied the very spirit of Ogilvy.

His passing leaves a void not only in Ogilvy but also in the broader Indian advertising community, where he was deeply respected for his professionalism and humility.
